Arcade Fire’s Win Butler, MGMT, and Majical Cloudz have all honored the late Alan Vega with various cover songs and originals this past week. Pearl Jam, too, paid tribute to the iconic Suicide frontman, putting their own spin on “Dream Baby Dream” during their set at British Columbia’s Pemberton Music Festival last weekend. As Stereogum points out, the cover took place just hours after Vega’s passing (July 16th) and can be seen via newly surfaced fan-caught footage.
